This is probably one of my few favorite good pizza spots so far in the area . I tried a... read more few different things as a first timer which I will always do when going to a restaurant the first time. They were attentive when it came to my overall experience. We dined in. There were 4 tables to sit down at. They served the drinks in cups with ice and soda cans. The restaurant overall I would say is not upscale. They could definitely spruce up the place. Their menu is on a chalkboard and they have a paper menu that has so many options, I personally was overwhelmed by the options.... that's not a bad thing. The more options the better overall!I ordered a calzone, the Garlic Knots, a Salad, and a 12" veggie pizza.Calzone had just a pepperoni filling. It was great. There was a lot of cheese and ricotta was on point with the sauce. Hadn't eaten a calzone in years but I would say it just needed to be cooked a little longer. The dough wasn't quite ready on all parts of the calzone.Garlic Knots were good however there was too much olive oil. The olive oil flavor overpowered everything. They topped it with shredded Parmesan cheese which is good but I would probably bake the bread with the cheese, as opposed to just garnishing it with it afterwards. They need to use the olive oil lightly.Salad was great. Typical salad I would just offer more options in terms of a lighter salad because the salad itself had ham and turkey in it which is fine but when eating heavier foods like pizza with meats, a light salad would be an awesome side dish to pair with the pizza. Like a Caesar salad?Pizza ordered was a veggie pizza, came with onions, peppers, olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, and sausages. I however did not like the fact that the tomatoes were not baked with the pizza. I have never been to a pizza place that has done this. I personally only eat tomatoes cooked. So it was a huge disappointment and let down. Usually people will tell me before hand if this is the case. The tomatoes just fell off the pizza. I didn't like that at all. They did offer me a coupon... which I wasn't gonna use. I don't believe in having to pay a discounted price. I believe people should get paid what they're worth and the value of the product and im not gonna undercut their business but overall it was a good experience. I would just spruce up the place with some paint. Kinda looked grungy in there like it needed some TLC and also have a bigger menu. Something actually big and more clear than the chalkboard. And please, take it lightly with the olive oil on the garlic Knots. Almost gagged when trying that out... good thing the calzone came out in time.Overall, I loved it.
